《天然藥物雜志》是一本國際期刊，介紹了天然藥物及其相關食品和化妝品的原始研究。它涵蓋天然產物的化學；藥用植物的生物化學；天然產物和草藥的藥理學，包括坎波配方和傳統草藥；植物解剖學；藥用植物的培養。該雜志發表評論、小評論、原稿、筆記、快速通訊和自然資源書信。在《自然藥物雜志》每一卷上發表的論文中，大約有三篇將由評選委員會成員選出，作為《自然藥物雜志》獎。

The Journal of Natural Medicines is an international journal presenting original research in naturally occurring medicines and their related foods and cosmetics. It covers chemistry of natural products; biochemistry of medicinal plants; pharmacology of natural products and herbs, including Kampo formulas and traditional herbs; botanical anatomy; cultivation of medicinal plants.The journal publishes Reviews, Mini-Reviews, Original Papers, Notes, Rapid Communications and Natural Resource Letters.Of the papers published in each volume of the Journal of Natural Medicines, approximately three will be chosen by members of the Selection Committee for honors as the Journal of Natural Medicines Award.
