Surgical Oncology has finally come of age and EJSO continues to play a major role in dissemination of information and knowledge relating to this surgical specialty. Published eight times a year, it presents original articles and state-of-the-art reviews of immediate interest to surgical oncologists. In addition, papers are published on chemotherapy, radiotherapy, epidemiology and pathology of cancer. The articles published also reflect the importance of communication between the laboratory and the clinician.
