The papers published in Marine Geophysical Researches emphasize the description and analysis of structures that can be investigated with geophysical methods only and the study of the physical processes that led to the origin of these structures. Papers related to Mid-Ocean Ridges are particularly welcome. Papers on new imaging techniques acknowledging the physical properties of the sea floor are especially encouraged provided they are applied to convincing scientific topics. No sharp dividing line is drawn between marine geophysics marine geochemistry and marine geology and this broad interpretation means that many areas of marine geology and marine geochemistry are included in Marine Geophysical Researches provided they are relevant to marine geophysics.
