Biofouling是一份國際性的、經同行評審的、多學科的雜志，發表原創文章和小型評論，并為發表有關蛋白質、微生物、真菌、植物和動物污染及其控制的純和應用工作，以及各種生物膜和生物粘附的研究提供了一個論壇。論文可能基于對淡水、海洋或航空環境中任何自然(生物)或人造表面特征、附著、生長和控制的研究，包括污垢、生物膜和醫學、牙科和工業環境中的生物附著。特別感興趣的領域包括防污技術和涂層，包括入侵物種的傳播、抗菌劑、生物界面、生物材料、微生物影響的腐蝕、膜生物膜、食品工業生物膜、基于生物膜的疾病以及作為污垢和生物膜生長基質的內嵌生物醫學設備。

Biofouling is an international, peer-reviewed, multi-discliplinary journal which publishes original articles and mini-reviews and provides a forum for publication of pure and applied work on protein, microbial, fungal, plant and animal fouling and its control, as well as studies of all kinds on biofilms and bioadhesion.Papers may be based on studies relating to characterisation, attachment, growth and control on any natural (living) or man-made surface in the freshwater, marine or aerial environments, including fouling, biofilms and bioadhesion in the medical, dental, and industrial context. Specific areas of interest include antifouling technologies and coatings including transmission of invasive species, antimicrobial agents, biological interfaces, biomaterials, microbiologically influenced corrosion, membrane biofouling, food industry biofilms, biofilm based diseases and indwelling biomedical devices as substrata for fouling and biofilm growth.
