雜草科學(xué)以同行評議的形式發(fā)表原創(chuàng)研究和學(xué)術(shù)論文，重點是與農(nóng)業(yè)系統(tǒng)中雜草科學(xué)的所有方面直接相關(guān)的基礎(chǔ)研究。雜草科學(xué)的主題包括:-農(nóng)業(yè)、林業(yè)、水產(chǎn)、草皮、休閑娛樂、通行權(quán)等環(huán)境中雜草的生物學(xué)和生態(tài)學(xué)、雜草遺傳學(xué)-除草劑抗性、除草劑和植物生長調(diào)節(jié)劑的化學(xué)、生物化學(xué)、生理學(xué)和分子作用，用于管理不良的植被-種植生態(tài)學(xué)和與雜草管理有關(guān)的其他農(nóng)業(yè)系統(tǒng)-生物和生態(tài)方面的雜草控制工具，包括生物制劑和抗除草劑作物-雜草管理對土壤、空氣和水的影響。

Weed Science publishes original research and scholarship in the form of peer-reviewed articles focused on fundamental research directly related to all aspects of weed science in agricultural systems. Topics for Weed Science include: - the biology and ecology of weeds in agricultural, forestry, aquatic, turf, recreational, rights-of-way and other settings, genetics of weeds- herbicide resistance, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and molecular action of herbicides and plant growth regulators used to manage undesirable vegetation - ecology of cropping and other agricultural systems as they relate to weed management- biological and ecological aspects of weed control tools including biological agents, and herbicide resistant crops - effect of weed management on soil, air and water.
