《蛋白質與肽通訊》出版蛋白質與肽研究的所有重要方面的信件、原始研究論文、小型評論和客座編輯的問題，包括結構研究、重組表達、功能、合成、酶學、免疫學、分子模型和藥物設計的進展。稿件必須具有顯著的新穎性、及時性和緊迫性，值得迅速出版。有關生物重要蛋白的結晶和初步結構測定的報告，只有在它們包括重要的新方法或處理直接重要的蛋白，以及生物重要蛋白的初步結構測定時，才予以考慮。純理論/綜述性論文應該為蛋白質/肽結構和功能的原理提供新的見解。描述計算工作的手稿應包括一些實驗數(shù)據(jù)，以證實計算結果。

Protein & Peptide Letters publishes letters, original research papers, mini-reviews and guest edited issues in all important aspects of protein and peptide research, including structural studies, advances in recombinant expression, function, synthesis, enzymology, immunology, molecular modeling, and drug design. Manuscripts must have a significant element of novelty, timeliness and urgency that merit rapid publication. Reports of crystallization and preliminary structure determination of biologically important proteins are considered only if they include significant new approaches or deal with proteins of immediate importance, and preliminary structure determinations of biologically important proteins. Purely theoretical/review papers should provide new insight into the principles of protein/peptide structure and function. Manuscripts describing computational work should include some experimental data to provide confirmation of the results of calculations.
